Motor / Tug Scapino is a “Fi- Fi-1” unrestricted ocean-going supply vessel for international voyages which is capable of assisting/handling other vessels for operation at mid-sea, for carrying out berthing duties at jetties and equipped for antipollution services.
The vessel is suitable for pushing with bow or pulling from stern using towing rope connected to winch. The vessel is able to assist tankers during lighterage operations and in rigging the floating fenders alongside tankers, and for assisting in double banking operations by passing hawsers between mother and daughter tankers and for emergency towing of tankers.
The vessel is fitted for oil pollution control using skimmers, booms and oil chemical dispersants through spray booms.
