Monitoring activities

All the vessels not only clean up polluted waters, but are also capable of monitoring activities before, during, and after their operations.

The monitoring activities are carried out with the use of: multi-parametric probes connected by oceanographic cable to a computer, for the detection of temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and chlorophyll; collecting water samples at different depths for analysis on board or on shore to determine the nutrient (N, P, Si) concentrations, the biological composition, and oxygen demand (BOD and COD); global positioning systems (GPS); depth finders; weather stations.

All the information collected is integrated on a larger scale with the cartography of the sites (pollution maps).
