Grancevola - Paguro

The Grancevola & Paguro module was designed to face the algae proliferation phenomenon. The system was conceived for harvesting, transporting and dumping weeds. A revolving tape is located on the bridge of the Grancevola, and another two conveyor belts for the dumping of the material are located on the support barge Paguro. The grancevola is built in a single steel block but it is possible to knock down in 3 pieces for easy transportation and maintenance. Normal working environments are inland waters: lakes, ponds, swamps, canals and lagoons. The Grancevola was built especially to collect algae masses in lagoon and shallow draught areas. The Grancevola may be fitted with a sophisticated radio positioning system with graphic thematic map plotting the whole course.
The equipment is composed of land stations and a single receiver station for each boat. Each of the mobile station cyclically interrogates the land stations, which supply the precise relative position. The equipment is provided with selfregulating circuits, which avoid the need of taring before and during operations. This system enables work optimization by identifying in any weather condition the courses taken and avoiding treatment of zones already covered. Daily work is recorded and the courses covered are graphically translated on thematic maps. A mobile laboratory for continual evaluation of the main pollutant parameters can operate on the Grancevola. The laboratory is equipped with continuous measurement systems for trophic indices and environmental parameters. In this way it is possible to simultaneously continue collection and evaluate the ecosystem in which one is operating.
The barge Paguro is built for the storage and transport of the weeds harvested by the Grancevola.Both vessels are of single full flat-bottomed construction, through decked, for the easy stacking of the material for transportation. To give optimum visibility in navigation and docking, the Command Bridge is situated at the stern.
The Paguro is fitted with full maneuverability equipment, all oleodynamic, powered by a large diesel. Like the Grancevola, it is built from a single steel block or in component, watertight blocks. It is fitted with large conveyor belts to facilitate unloading.
